The Ancient City, or Muang Boran, is one of the largest open-air museums in the world, set on more than 300 acres just outside Bangkok. It holds replicas and original historic structures from across Thailand, including palaces, temples and sculptures, laid out by region so you can travel the country in a day.
Founded in 1963 and opened to the public in 1972, the park also includes Talad Bok, a traditional floating market with classic Thai houses. Bicycles, golf carts and trams can be hired on site to get around. Add a Thai buffet lunch or dinner, and optional private transfers if needed.
