Baluarte de San Diego is one of the oldest and best preserved fortifications in Intramuros, built in the late 16th century to defend Manila. Its circular design is a fine example of Spanish military engineering. Your ticket lets you walk the old stone walls and the bastion ruins at your own pace.
The site is now an archaeological park with landscaped gardens, offering a calm break in the middle of the city. Look out for the Japanese cannon on display, a relic of the Battle of Manila, and learn about the bastion’s role in the city’s defence. It pairs well with a visit to Fort Santiago nearby.
Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be changed or cancelled once booked.
