Dubai Opera is the cultural heart of the Opera District, set off Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard in Downtown Dubai. Its striking design takes its shape from a traditional Arabian dhow, a nod to the region’s maritime history. On this guided Grand Tour you go behind the scenes for 120 minutes, exploring the architecture, artworks and backstage areas that most audiences never see.
Since opening in 2016 the venue has hosted operas, ballets, concerts and orchestras. Learn how its multi-format theatre seats up to 2,000 people and uses hydraulic technology to change from theatre to concert hall to flat floor, and look out for the VIP boxes and the chandelier lit by around 3,000 LEDs.
