Fort Santiago is one of the oldest Spanish-built fortresses in Manila, dating back to 1571 and set inside the walled city of Intramuros. It served as a key military defence during the colonial period and later became a symbol of the Philippines’ road to independence. Your ticket lets you explore the old stone walls, quiet courtyards, gardens, cannons and views over the Pasig River.
Inside the grounds, the Rizal Shrine Museum tells the story of Dr José Rizal, the national hero, with photographs and artefacts. Bronze footprints trace his final walk before his execution, and displays cover World War II and the country’s long journey to independence. It suits history lovers and first-time visitors to Manila alike.
Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be changed or cancelled once booked.
